The Neighborhood Book Peddler was created to make books free and accessible to everyone. Through carefully curated collections, we bring stories directly into the community—encouraging connection, cultural exchange, and personal growth. Our first step is a custom-built Book Tricycle, designed to share these books at no cost and spark joy in unexpected places.
This mission is deeply personal to me. As a child, books were rare treasures. Growing up, the nearest library was often towns away, yet every book I managed to find felt like a doorway into new worlds. That early experience instilled in me a reverence for storytelling and a commitment to making literature more accessible.
Nearly a decade ago, I moved to New Orleans to pursue life as a full-time musician. Storytelling has always been at the heart of my artistry, and now it is also the foundation of this nonprofit. The Neighborhood Book Peddler carries forward that same spirit—sharing stories as a way to connect, to heal, and to grow together.
The Neighborhood Book Peddler is on a mission to share free books with the community. Every story deserves a reader, and every reader deserves access. Join us—donate, volunteer, or simply take a book.
